Junior Tester - Manual Testing
- Good analytical skills
- Good grasping ability, willingness to learn
- Team player
- Good root cause analysis and problem solving skills
- Should be able to work independently
- Excellent understanding of testing concepts and the role of QA in the software development - white box, black box, functional/non functional, customer-oriented testing.
- Experience with functional, integration and regression testing methods.
- Should be able to prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases covering all aspects of the specifications to verify that the software product meets business requirements.
- Knowledge of setting up test environments, executing simulated environment tests (installing applications, preparing test data etc).
- Should be able to come up with test data requirements to achieve the desired test coverage
- The candidate must be able to critically evaluate project requirements and technical constraints
- Should have fundamental knowledge of client-server architecture
- An ability to communicate effectively with technical and non technical colleagues
- Exposure to Agile way of working (not mandatory)
- Good understanding of software production lifecycle process including software testing and customer acceptance testing
- Documenting and reporting skills
- Ensure test status results are properly documented and tracked and software defects are reported clearly
- Build and maintain a repository of test case definitions and acceptance test procedures
- Contribute to the enhancement of Quality Assurance / testing processes and procedures (e.g. testing standards, policies and methodologies)
- A strong desire for quality
- Take ownership of, and complete assignments on a timely basis.
- Positive, ”Can do” attitude and willingness to accept changes
- Basic understanding of automation would be good – not mandatory
